Project Engineer

At PSI, Project Engineers play a critical role in bringing complex commercial construction projects to life. Working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership, you’ll help coordinate project execution from preconstruction through closeout while gaining hands-on experience in estimating, scheduling, procurement, financial management, and client relations.
This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, driven, and eager to build a long-term career in construction management.
What You’ll Do
- Support multiple projects through all phases of construction
- Assist with change estimates, change orders, and project cost tracking
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams
- Track project schedules, milestones, and progress reporting
- Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Maintain project records, daily reports, and meeting documentation
- Support project closeout activities, inspections, and turnover documentation
- Participate in jobsite visits to monitor progress and support project teams
- Help identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining budget and schedule objectives

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction
- Experience with tenant improvement, healthcare, institutional, or core-and-shell projects
- Familiarity with construction management software platforms
- Knowledge of contract documents, construction drawings, and specifications
