At PSI, we know that this type of life and safety installation must be done 100% correctly. Radiation shielding installations must use safe and efficient practices compliant with CAL/OSHA 1532.1. That’s why all of our radiation shielding installers are fully trained in all the best industry practices. We work diligently to keep everyone involved in the installation safe and protect everyone throughout the process.
Jobsite safety measures include negative air machines and anterooms with 4mm plastic on walls and floors plus red rosin floor paper. We wear Tyvek suits, boot covers, gloves, and safety glasses and use sticky mats at entrances as well as lead neutralizing skin and equipment wipes. All employees get lead awareness and Hazmat training as well as biannual ZPP blood testing.

Over the past decades, PSI has installed radiation shielding for medical facilities, including Good Samaritan Hospital, City of Hope Medical Center, and Garfield Medical Center. We are preferred vendors for Cedars Sinai Los Angeles and Del Rey, and Tier 2 approved for Kaiser Permanente Gardena, Harbor City, and Long Beach. We have also worked with energy companies like Fluence Energy to provide shielding for radiation storage and with NASA on Non-Destructive testing rooms.
